Friday Jan 17, 2020
Friday Jan 17, 2020
Geek Salad welcomes a new decade in the Roaring 20’s by celebrating the lost hits and obscure singles of the 1980’s.
If it’s not a forgotten one hit wonder, it’s a song that might have hit the charts somewhere else besides the United States, or it’s a track from a hit album that didn’t chart at all…
So join the team of Andy, Mike, Katherine, and Joe as they bid adieu to the New Wave decade before they welcome the music of the 1990’s….and check out the Spotify playlist with a healthy dose of the songs discussed on the show!

Tuesday Aug 27, 2019
Tuesday Aug 27, 2019
After 11 years, and more than 20 movies, it’s come time for Geek Salad to put the call out…and for Episode 183, they recap the Top 25 Moments in the MCU Series. But such a monumental task, much like gathering the Infinity Stones, they need help. So we’ve enlisted the help of the fine hosts from the podcasts For Your Reference, Altered Universe, Black Girls Do Stuff Too, Verbal Diorama, and Offscreen Babble to review their favorites. We also have Todd Vickstrom returning to the guest seat to help out!
So strap in for this Infinity War length discussion. Grab your magical hammers, your Pym Particles, and whatever Stark Tech you have laying around, and ASSEMBLE!
Special Thanks to the following Podcasts that helped us with this undertaking! Show them some love and give them a follow! They are our heroes! We love them 3000!

Episode 182: Be Excellent to Batarangs (part 2)
Wednesday Aug 14, 2019
Wednesday Aug 14, 2019
Welcome back to the films of 1989! Did you remember the year that made us all want to live "Under the Sea"? How about wanting to learn the excellent air guitar? Then rejoice, for Geek Salad is back to finish their discussion of the movies of 1989 with episode 182: Be Excellent to Batarangs (part 2).
Andy, Mike, and Joe are back to go over some of the more memorable films of 1989 that didn't quite crack the top 10 highest domestic box office list. From Major League to Do the Right Thing, they go through some true gems as well as some that are memorable for less than positive reasons. Still, most of them are good for a few laughs, right?

Episode 182: Be Excellent to Batarangs (part 1)
Wednesday Aug 07, 2019
Wednesday Aug 07, 2019
The year 1989 ended up being one hell of a year for movies. From Tim Burton's first Batman film to Ghostbusters II, this year really gave us some true gems, as well as some lesser but still memorable hits. And here to go through some of those films is Geek Salad with episode 182: Be Excellent to Batarangs (part 1).
Join Andy, Mike, and Joe as they go overlong in discussing this banner year for films. So overlong, that the episode had to be split up into two parts. Here in part 1, the crew goes over what films were the highest grossing domestic releases for the year. They answer such questions as "Wait, numbers 3 and 4 are what now? Really?" and "Just how many of these top 10 films had Rick Moranis in them?"

Space, the final frontier. This is the podcast, Geek Salad. Its 1 hour and 44 minute mission, to rank and review the thirteen Star Trek movies as voted on by its crew and listeners. To boldly go where probably some other podcasts have gone before with Geek Salad episode 175: Live Long and Franchise!
Yes, Andy, Mike, Joe, and Katherine took the votes and tabulated out the ranking of the Star Trek movies. And, in a list that is sure to surprise virtually no one, they present the ranking of the films from worst to best. In doing so, they boldly dare to answer the questions - Did anyone actually enjoy Insurrection? Where are the nuclear wessels? And how many tears were shed at the end of Wrath of Khan (answer: all of them).
