Episode 182: Be Excellent to Batarangs (part 2)
Wednesday Aug 14, 2019
Wednesday Aug 14, 2019
Welcome back to the films of 1989! Did you remember the year that made us all want to live "Under the Sea"? How about wanting to learn the excellent air guitar? Then rejoice, for Geek Salad is back to finish their discussion of the movies of 1989 with episode 182: Be Excellent to Batarangs (part 2).
Andy, Mike, and Joe are back to go over some of the more memorable films of 1989 that didn't quite crack the top 10 highest domestic box office list. From Major League to Do the Right Thing, they go through some true gems as well as some that are memorable for less than positive reasons. Still, most of them are good for a few laughs, right?

Episode 158 (Side A/The Singles): Operation McFerrincrime
Tuesday Mar 20, 2018
Tuesday Mar 20, 2018
Here’s a little song I wrote…Makes you want to slit my throat…
…And with that, Geek Salad reviews the Music of 1988 with Episode 158: Operation McFerrincrime! On this side of the record, Mike, And, Katherine, and Joe discuss the top singles of the year. Among many One Week Wonders lie a few songs that completely overstayed their welcome, a couple of artists who we never thought we’d get rid of that suddenly disappeared, and a Thunder Dome-esque debate over the “good” to “unbelievable crappiness” merits of the “Beach Boys” Kokomo!

Episode 143: Syndicated Incorporated
Wednesday May 10, 2017
Wednesday May 10, 2017
Syndicated television shows really come in a few of different forms. There are the shows that were created for networks, first aired there, and then moved to syndicated after their run ended. There were shows that started on networks, but moved to syndication due to poor ratings and/or quality. And then there were the shows that were first aired on syndication. Well all three of these types will be discussed in Geek Salad episode 143: Syndicated Incorporated!
Join Andy, Mike, Joe, and Katherine as they go over their many memories of syndicated TV. From the highs of Xena to the lows of Small Wonder and a whole lot of the in betweens, they go through both the joys and scars of their childhood memories of TV shows that couldn't quite make it to the big networks.
Be sure and stick around till the very end as the crew revives Trailer Park in honor of The Last Jedi trailer!

Episode 131: I Can't Hear You!!!!
Thursday Aug 11, 2016
Thursday Aug 11, 2016
Hello Cleveland! Are you ready to rock? I can’t hear you! The team of Geek Salad are way louder than you! And Andy, Mike, Katherine, and Joe have sobered up to tell you their favorite (and comically horrifying) concert and live music stories in Episode 131: I Can’t Hear You!
Have you ever been a beer mule for a Brian Adams concert? Andy has! Have you ever seen Eric Clapton 8 times? Joe has! Have you ever seen Travis Tritt during the World’s Greatest Mullet phase? Mike did! And have you ever had to drive the stoner bus to a Phish show? Katherine has stores…
There are also stories about opening bands that forgot their place in the pecking order, worst encores, and a whole lot more! So grab your lighter (or your lighter app if you’re..ya know…young…) and hold out hope that they’ll close the show with “Freebird!”
