So here comes part two of their two part Simpsons extravaganza, The Professor Frink Show! Rejoin Andy, Mike, Jim, and Adam as they finish each of their lists of their top 5 Simpsons episodes. Episode 61a: The Itchy and Scratchy and Poochie Show
Sunday Feb 12, 2012
Sunday Feb 12, 2012
A little over 20 years ago, a cartoonist named Matt Groening introduced the world to the hilarious Simpson family and all the crazy inhabitants of Springfield. Now, in time for the 500th episode, join Andy, Mike, Jim, and Adam are getting together to share some of their favorite moments from this, one of the funniest animated shows to ever grace television. The Geek Salad crew crack open many bottles of Duff beer as they painstakingly narrow down their lists of favorite episodes to five each, though they do go off on tangents about many more then that. In fact, they go into so many tangents, that the episode had to be split into two parts. So sit back, relax, and remember the many laughs that the Simpsons have brought us over the years, then come back in about a week for part 2, and even more laughs. And, just to add to the humor, the guys also discuss the odd proportions of Andrew Garfield's head compared to Spider-Man's costume as Trailer Park covers the new Amazing Spider-Man trailer.

Episode 59: The President Has Been Kidnapped By Ninjas!
Friday Jan 13, 2012
Friday Jan 13, 2012
Remember all the really great video games that we've all gotten to play? Now remember all the truly gut-wrenchingly awful ones? Well if you say yes to the second question, then join Andy, Mike, Mike, Jim, and Adam for Geek Salad episode 59: The President Has Been Kidnapped By Ninjas! Yes, the Geek Salad crew prove they're bad enough to not only rescue the president from ninjas, but also to explore the truly horrendous depths that video games have sunk to since the early 70s, to ignore the fact that the plural of ninja is still ninja, and to watch as Adam spends most of the time playing on his original Nintendo Entertainment System. Then stick around for some 3D-based Stupid Stupid, some Star Wars-inspired Salad Shills, and an overloaded Trailer Park that's chock full of GI Joe, Dark Knight, and Hobbit goodness.

Join Andy and Mike G in welcoming back long-lost co-host Mike C, then stick around as the trio explore the many, many, many laughs provided over the years by the crew of the Satelite of Love. Yes, this is Geek Salad's jumbo-sized tribute to Mystery Science Theater 3000. Then stick around as both Mikes sing the praise of Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Andy proves everyone wrong about Netflix, and they all agree that Kristin Stewart is the most bland actress in Hollywood today as "Snow White and the Huntsman" rounds out Trailer Park.

Episode 56: Electric Boogaloo
Thursday Nov 10, 2011
Thursday Nov 10, 2011
Be prepared to experience the ups and downs of sequels, prequels, and remakes in Geek Salad episode 56: Electric Boogaloo. Join Andy, Mike, Jim, and Adam as they discuss the good and the bad of movie follow-ups from the Matrix sequels to the Thing prequel, and even a mention of the shot-for-shot Psycho remake. Then join them as they discuss their wishlists of sequels and prequels that have yet to happen (and probably will never happen). Stick around after that as they discuss SNL on Netflix for Stupid, Stupid, cringe at the antics of Jim's dad in "American Reunion" for Trailer Park, and find wonder in Oswald the Lucky Rabbit and Jack the Ripper in Salad Shills.

An example of why the show is called Geek Salad
Wednesday Oct 26, 2011
Wednesday Oct 26, 2011
To show everyone why the title for this podcast is so appropriate, here, word for word, is a txt chat that Andy and I did back and forth a few weeks ago (while at work). Please note that there was no real reason for it to start like this. I just decided that I felt like making an Indiana Jones reference: Mike: "Once again we see there is nothing you possess which I cannot take away." Andy: "But I really really need that fertility idol!!!!!" Mike: "Then you should have chosen your companions more carefully." Andy: "What does that say about your integrity" Mike: "Umm... that I work with Nazis and should have my face melted?" Andy: "Make it so!" Mike: "I have a bad feeling about this." Mike: "This has to be one of the geekiest txt conversations ever. I'm tempted to post this to the GS site to show people what we talk about on a normal day :)" Andy: "Ni!" Mike: "There are some who call me... Tim" Andy: "I soiled my armour I was so scared" Mike: "Therefore, we must welease Woger!"

A Plead for Sanity While at the Aquarium
Sunday Oct 23, 2011
Sunday Oct 23, 2011
I'm just going to take a quick moment to say something that I noticed while I was on a recent trip to the New England Aquarium. This is to all people, but it's mainly directed at parents. I realize that Finding Nemo was an incredibly popular movie. I thoroughly enjoyed it as well. I also realize that kids love to watch it and so they naturally connect fish they see at the various Aquariums around the world with that beloved movie. However, I would kindly ask that parents stop pointing out the clownfish and regal tangs and telling their kids, "Look! There's Nemo!" or "Look! There's Dory!" Yes, we know, you and your kids have seen the movie. But "Nemo" and "Dory" are not those fish. Those are fictional characters. That would be like seeing a soldier and telling your kids, "Look! There's Captain America!" It's never too early to start giving your kids the benefits of a better education. If you must reference the movie, point out that the fish in the tank in front of them is a clownfish, just like Nemo. Yes, I may be nitpicking, but it takes just as long to have your kids get it right as it does to have them get it wrong, and I, personally, would rather them get it right.
