Monday Oct 19, 2020
Since 2008, Geek Salad has attempted to bring you the finest (and sometimes drunkest) of nerdly conversations! Now, we are proud to present our mega-sized 200th episode, this time with the our very special guests; Nik from the Black Girls Do Stuff Too podcast and Thomas from Movies After Work! Also joining us in a pre-recorded interview is Em from Verbal Diorama!
So while we’ve aged like fine wine, we discuss the things that we used to love that have aged like vinegar. If it’s a change in attitudes in regards to how we view different ethnic groups or different gender identities, to the poor aging of how our viewpoints in storytelling against things that were popular way back when, we’ve got some really great conversations!

So join the team of Andy, Mike, Katherine, and Joe as they bid adieu to the New Wave decade before they welcome the music of the 1990’s….and check out the Spotify playlist with a healthy dose of the songs discussed on the show!

Wednesday Aug 14, 2019
Welcome back to the films of 1989! Did you remember the year that made us all want to live "Under the Sea"? How about wanting to learn the excellent air guitar? Then rejoice, for Geek Salad is back to finish their discussion of the movies of 1989 with episode 182: Be Excellent to Batarangs (part 2).
Andy, Mike, and Joe are back to go over some of the more memorable films of 1989 that didn't quite crack the top 10 highest domestic box office list. From Major League to Do the Right Thing, they go through some true gems as well as some that are memorable for less than positive reasons. Still, most of them are good for a few laughs, right?

Episode 182: Be Excellent to Batarangs (part 1)
Wednesday Aug 07, 2019
Wednesday Aug 07, 2019
The year 1989 ended up being one hell of a year for movies. From Tim Burton's first Batman film to Ghostbusters II, this year really gave us some true gems, as well as some lesser but still memorable hits. And here to go through some of those films is Geek Salad with episode 182: Be Excellent to Batarangs (part 1).
Join Andy, Mike, and Joe as they go overlong in discussing this banner year for films. So overlong, that the episode had to be split up into two parts. Here in part 1, the crew goes over what films were the highest grossing domestic releases for the year. They answer such questions as "Wait, numbers 3 and 4 are what now? Really?" and "Just how many of these top 10 films had Rick Moranis in them?"
