Episode 209: Bambi's Mother was Delicious
Friday Apr 30, 2021
Friday Apr 30, 2021
Growing up, pretty much everyone has seen their fair share of Disney films, be they animated, live-action, or Pixar. And, as anyone who has seen Disney movies can attest to, Disney is very good at tugging at our emotional heart strings and causing even the most hardened individuals to weep openly. So, as a form of emotional catharsis, the Geek Salad crew is here to go through some of those emotional moments in episode 209: Bambi's Mother was Delicious.
Join Andy, Mike, Joe, and Katherine as they cover some of the most emotionally tear-jerking moments from Disney films throughout the company's long history. From Bambi alone in the snowy forest, to Miguel singing to Mamá Coco, the gang struggles to hold back their tears (and, might I add, so did the poor editor who had to mix in all those clips).

From the 1930s till the late 1960s, Warner Brothers made an extensive collection of short cartoons which they called Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies. From these shorts came animated characters which still inspire laughter and love even today. And Geek Salad is here to discuss them in part 1 of episode 202: There's Baloney in Our Slacks!
Join Andy, Mike, Joe, and Katherine as they go over some of the true classics of the Warner Brothers animation archives. From major named like Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck to lesser characters like Witch Hazel and the Goofy Gophers, they go over some of there favorites, and even some they aren't as fond of.
And be sure and come back for part 2 where they talk about a couple of Looney Tunes modern sequels.
