Episode 202: There’s Baloney in Our Slacks (part 1)

Tuesday, November 17th, 2020

From the 1930s till the late 1960s, Warner Brothers made an extensive collection of short cartoons which they called Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies. From these shorts came animated characters which still inspire laughter and love even today. And Geek Salad is here to discuss them in part 1 of episode 202: There's Baloney in Our Slacks!

Join Andy, Mike, Joe, and Katherine as they go over some of the true classics of the Warner Brothers animation archives. From major named like Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck to lesser characters like Witch Hazel and the Goofy Gophers, they go over some of there favorites, and even some they aren't as fond of.

And be sure and come back for part 2 where they talk about a couple of Looney Tunes modern sequels.

Episode 195: PlayStation 2 - Electric Boogaloo (part 1)

Sunday, June 7th, 2020

Twenty years ago one of the most popular gaming consoles of all time was released. Over it's 13 years of production (Seriously!), thousands of games were released which kept us going back to that dual-shock controller again and again. To discuss some of their favorites, Geek Salad has returned with episode 195: PlayStation 2 - Electric Boogaloo. However, as the discussion ended up being quite extensive, this episode ended up being split into two parts.

Join Andy, Mike, Joe, Katherine, Todd, and Katherine's husband Joe, as they go over the Facebook and Twitter feedback on this topic. Turns out lots of people had favorite games from this system. From classic titles like Jak & Daxter to more obscure titles like Psychonauts, see what some of our friends and family said were their favorites. Then come back for part 2 where they discuss some of their own lists of favorite games.
