We all have TV shows that we absolutely love and go back episode after episode to follow along with the story and characters. However, we all also know of a show that we truly loved, but found it getting stale, dull, and/or just plain stupid the longer it remained on the air. While doing their yearly retrospecticons on the movies and musics of 30 years ago, Geek Salad had neglected to cover the movies of 1981. Well this oversight has finally been corrected as the crew finally brings you episode 156: An American Werewolf on Golden Pond. "The loons, Norman! The... AHHHHHHHH!!!" That might have made me interested in seeing that movie, if I'm honest.
Yes, from Time Bandits to Raiders of the Lost Ark, Andy, Mike, Joe, and Katherine tackle 1981's top ten grossing films before heading into some of the more memorable (for good or for ill) films of the year that also gave us Donkey Kong.

We truly live in a golden age of Comic Book movies. Much like the second golden age of comics in the early 1980’s, the Nerd Generation has never had such an embarrassment of riches….
….however, these are not the movies we’re discussing this week. We’ve again taken the votes of the Geek Salad listening audience and compiled the Top 15 Worst Comic Book Based movies of all time! Join Joe, Andy, and Mike as they count down the head-scratchingly awful, the “How could they possibly continue to get Fantastic Four wrong???”, and Joe’s all but giving up on the DCEU…at least it’s getting harder for him to defend it!

1987 will always be seen as a really excellent year for fun, excellent movies. Why, just look at the top 10 highest grossing movies of that year and you'll see... umm... Stakeout was... uh... and Moonstruck is still talked a... well... Three Men and a Baby?!?
