Episode 143: Syndicated Incorporated
Wednesday May 10, 2017
Wednesday May 10, 2017
Syndicated television shows really come in a few of different forms. There are the shows that were created for networks, first aired there, and then moved to syndicated after their run ended. There were shows that started on networks, but moved to syndication due to poor ratings and/or quality. And then there were the shows that were first aired on syndication. Well all three of these types will be discussed in Geek Salad episode 143: Syndicated Incorporated!
Join Andy, Mike, Joe, and Katherine as they go over their many memories of syndicated TV. From the highs of Xena to the lows of Small Wonder and a whole lot of the in betweens, they go through both the joys and scars of their childhood memories of TV shows that couldn't quite make it to the big networks.
Be sure and stick around till the very end as the crew revives Trailer Park in honor of The Last Jedi trailer!

Geek Salad - 2016 in Review
Saturday Dec 31, 2016
Saturday Dec 31, 2016
So... 2016, the year that had the Grim Reaper as a patron saint. There were a lot of very high profile tragic deaths this year, but Andy and Mike attempt to keep things positive during their 2016 Year in Review.
Recorded while on the road to do an errand, the two go over some of the brighter moments of the past year, while also discussing the rocky start to the DCEU, as well some of the losses we've suffered this past year.
From all of us here at Geek Salad, we wish you a very Happy New Year and here's hoping 2017 is a bit less killer.

From the parks that the gang grew up around in New England, to some of the most head scratching “amusement” parks imaginable (Dollywood, I’m looking right in your general direction!) to the House of Mouse, the Geeks have you covered!
(For the parents out there, we would like to point out that, while we are discussing a whole bunch of Family FunTime destinations, this show is definitely NOT for your kids!!!)

Episode 119: Sony and the Bandicoot
Saturday Oct 24, 2015
Saturday Oct 24, 2015
20 years ago, after a nasty split with Nintendo, Sony went on to create one of the best selling gaming consoles of all time in the original Sony PlayStation, and the world would never be the same again.
With that bit of history out of the way, sit back and enjoy the memories with Andy, both Mikes, Joe, Katherine, and even a special guest in Katherine's boyfriend Joe as they chat about the many highs and a few lows of PlayStation in Geek Salad episode 119: Sony and the Bandicoot.
From the heights of Tomb Raider and Metal Gear Solid, to the lows of Masters of Teras Kasi, the crew indulge in their fond remembrances of the PlayStation games. Maybe they might even mention an RPG or two (*cough*Final Fantasy VII*cough*).

Episode 111: Shawarma...ASSEMBLE!!!!
Monday Apr 27, 2015
Monday Apr 27, 2015
We're here to talk to you about the Avengers Initiative....
...and with those words, the Marvel Cinematic Universe kicked into high gear! From the 2008 release of Iron Man, to last year's surprise hit Guardians of the Galaxy, the MCU has been kicking butt throughout the movie industry.
...and now Geek Salad is here to rank them...
Thanks to our friends on Facebook, the team of Andy, Mike G., Joe, and Katherine count down from 10 to 1 the favorite films in both Phase 1 and Phase 2, leading up to the May 1st release of Avengers: Age of Ultron. Which movies will end up lower than expected? Which movies got more love than usual? And who will rank supreme?
Then, stay tuned for a trio of Trailer Parks, where the team discuss the latest trailers from Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens, Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice, and Ant-Man.
